Chairman, NALCO calls upon literary personalities of the state to promote spirit of entrepreneurship through literature

Bhubaneswar, 01/03/2018: “Odisha has a rich legacy of culture, heritage, art and literature. As the only Navratna CPSE with headquarter in Bhubaneswar, we take immense pride being associated with this rich legacy”, said Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, while inaugurating the 3 rd National Literary Meet at Bhubaneswar, today.

Addressing, the gathering, Dr Chand said that although the spectrum of Odia literature is very vast with strong literary roots and writers community, the book reading habit is on decline particularly among youth due to onslaught of internet & social media. However, Institutions and literary associations have a major role to play in encouraging the book reading habit, expressed Dr. Chand.

Literature is a time capsule. It is the mirror of the society. It has the strength to generate collective energy for achievement. Odia literature should promote entrepreneurship and build up an achievement oriented industrial climate in the state for its progress and growth, said Dr. Chand.

A number of literary personalities, writers and poets attended the meet. Amongst them the noted dignitaries who adorned the dais were Shri Arun Kamal, Dr. Nityananda Satpathy, Shri Jayasish Roy, Smt. Suprava Roy and Ms Monideepa Sahoo.
