    NALCO and CTTC sign MoU to empower Youth with Industry-Ready Skills

    Bhubaneswar: 08.10.2025: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has taken a significant step towards empowering rural youth through skill development by signing an MoU to implement a skill training programme for youth from the peripheral villages of NALCO’s operational units at Damanjodi and Angul. In this context, an MoU was signed between NALCO Foundation – the CSR arm of NALCO and the Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME),Government of India, on 7th October 2025 at NALCO Corporate Office.

    As part of the initiative, 20 youths each from the peripheral villages of NALCO’s Mines & Refinery Complex, Damanjodi, and Smelter & Power Complex, Angul, totaling 40 youths, will be sponsored for a five-month residential training programme at CTTC, Bhubaneswar.

    The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, NALCO, and Directors including Shri Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Director (Production); Dr. Tapas Kumar Pattnayak, Director (HR), Shri Abhay Kumar Behuria, Director (Finance) and other senior officials from NALCO, NALCO Foundation and CTTC Bhubaneswar.

    Appreciating the initiative, Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh said that the programme would equip local youth with industry-ready skills and open doors to sustainable livelihood opportunities. He further underscored that such CSR interventions have the potential to set a benchmark in the region by nurturing local talent and building confidence among the youth. Worth mentioning, the training will be conducted in alignment with the National Skills Qualification Framework of the National Skill Development Council, Government of India. The initiative is part of NALCO’s continued commitment to community development and sustainable livelihood under its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.
