    Bhubaneswar, 08.05.2026: A high-level Canadian delegation, led by His Excellency Mr. Christopher Cooter, High Commissioner of Canada to India, visited the corporate headquarters of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) at Bhubaneswar today during his maiden visit to the city.

    His Excellency Mr. Christopher Cooter held discussions with Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, NALCO in the presence of Dr. Tapas Kumar Pattanayak, Director (HR), Shri Anil Kumar Singh, Director (Commercial), Shri Pranab Jyoti Nath, IAS, CVO and other senior officials of the company. The discussions focused on opportunities for strategic collaboration in the area of critical minerals, sustainable resource development, and future expansion plans. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the mining and metals sector and explored potential avenues for long-term engagement aimed at reinforcing Canada–India economic and industrial ties. His Excellency Mr. Christopher Cooter was accompanied by his wife, Ms. Karen Joan Blumenschein. Other members of the Canadian delegation included Mr. Arjun Kumar Dutta, Trade Commissioner and Mr. Rohit Shukla, Political-Economic and Public Affairs Officer, High Commission of Canada.
