19th Meeting of TOLIC(U) of Bhubaneswar organized at NALCO

Bhubaneswar, 26.04.2024: The 19th half-yearly meeting of Bhubaneswar Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Undertakings) was organized today at NALCO’s Corporate Office. Shri Sridhar Patra, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NALCO, presided over the meeting. In the meeting, Shri Nirmal Kumar Dubey, Head, Regional Implementation Office (East), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, was notably present as the representative of Govt of India and reviewed the progress on implementation of Hindi in official work. At the outset, Shri Asutosh Rath, GGM (Admin & Corporate Communications) and in charge of Rajbhasha, NALCO, welcomed all the members.

During the meeting discussions were also held on organizing joint programs like Hindi Workshops, Hindi Competitions, Hindi Sammelan and constituting of sub-committees for propagating the use of Hindi in Official work. Suggestions and feedback points were invited by the Hindi Officers and the same were discussed in the meet. Prises were also handed over to the winners of various competitions that were organised in the last quarter.

Presiding over the meeting Shri Sridhar Patra, CMD, NALCO, appreciated the overall performance and progress of member offices and suggested several measures to increase the use of Hindi in their official work with concerted efforts to meet the targets for official language, defined by the Govt. of India.

Heads of various Central Public Sector undertakings with offices in Bhubaneswar including Power Grid Corporation of India, HPCL, SAIL, MCL, BHEL, FCI, HUDCO, BEML, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited, GAIL and Sr officials, Hindi officers, Hindi Translators of IOCL, BPCL, RINL NTPC, RITES, REC, Hotel Kalinga Ashok, WAPCOS, CMPDI and other Cental Govt organisations participated in this meet.

The meeting was coordinated by Shri Himanshu Rai, Member-secretary of the Committee and Manager (Rajbhasha) of NALCO.
