Hindi Fortnight Celebrated at NALCO

Bhubaneswar, 15.09.2015: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna PSU, Under Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India celebrated Hindi Fortnight at its Corporate Office and sites from 1st to 14th September 2015, with a view to promote the use of Hindi as official language. To mark the occasion, various competitions including essay, debate, noting and quiz were organized among its employees.

The concluding function was held yesterday at company’s corporate office. Shri T.K. Chand, CMD, NALCO graced the occasion as the chief guest and proposed to hold a Hindi Kavi Sammelan soon. This year, Late Shankar Dayal Singh Memorial Prize was handed over to Shri S.K. Verma, Manager (Materials), CPP and Ms. V. Anuradha, Sr. EA. (CC), Corporate Office. Among others, Shri N.R. Mohanty, Director (P&T), Shri S.C. Padhy, Director (HR), Shri K.C. Samal, Director (Finance), Ms. Soma Mondal, Director (Commercial) and Shri A.K. Sahu, ED (H&A) were notably present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries opined on the ways and means to implement Hindi Language in regular official works.

Shri Sudarsan Tarai, AGM (Rajbhasa), coordinated the programme while Shri Hariram Pansari, Manager (Rajbhasa), proposed a vote of thanks.
