Nalco to Celebrate India Day in Toronto: Invest India main Focus

Bhubaneswar, 05/03/2018: World’s one of the biggest mining and manufacturing convention – Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) is being held in Toronto, Canada, from 4th to 7th March 2018. India’s leading mining industries including NALCO, NMDC, GMDC, HCL, APMDC, COAL India, Hutti Gold Mines Limited & Odisha Mining Corporation are participating in this international convention under the India Pavilion. Leading the India delegation, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon’ble Minister, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Mines, Govt of India, inaugurated the Indian Pavilion. Dr.Rajeswara Rao, Additional Secretary (Mines), Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, Joint Secretaries of Coal & other department, Secretaries of various State Govt., CMDs of many CPSUs are part of the Indian delegation.

On 7 th March 2018, India Day would be celebrated at the convention. Leading aluminium major, Nalco as the nodal agency of GOI & CPSUs would be organising the event to showcase India’s mining power. At the India Day celebration, Dr Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, Nalco, would make a presentation before the global prospectors, miners & manufacturers, focussing on Invest India-Invest in Aluminium. Dr. Chand is also expected to attract investments for the proposed Angul Aluminium Park in Odisha. It may be noted that Canada’s Saguenay Valley Aluminium Park is considered as an excellent world-class Aluminium park & Al Canada is a leading Aluminium manufacturers with high end technology. It is also expected that during this International convention, Nalco may go for further high end technological collaborations.
