    NALCO-Hosted All India PSU Badminton Tournament Concludes in Bhubaneswar

    Bhubaneswar, April 11, 2026: The All India Public Sector Badminton Tournament successfully concluded yesterday on a high note at the Biju Patnaik Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Bhubaneswar. Organized by National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, the prestigious event witnessed enthusiastic participation from about 200 players representing 14 public sector organizations across the country, highlighting both competitive excellence and sportsmanship.

    Teams representing the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) won the titles in both the men’s and women’s team events. CAG team also secured first place in the men’s singles and mixed doubles categories. Similarly, teams from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) won the women’s singles, men’s doubles, and women’s doubles events.

    Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, NALCO, handed over the prizes across various categories at the valedictory ceremony in the presence of  Dr. Tapas Kumar Pattanayak, Director (HR), and Shri Anil Kumar Singh, Director (Commercial), NALCO. CMD, NALCO expressed his satisfaction over the success of the tournament and congratulated all participants for their exemplary sporting spirit.

    Senior officials of NALCO, match officials, and participating teams were also present on the occasion. The tournament, which commenced on April 7 and featured four days of exhilarating matches, reaffirmed NALCO’s commitment to promoting sports and nurturing talent across the country.
