Nalco Hospital & Mobile Health Units at Angul to be upgraded

    calender05/02/2016

Bhubaneswar, 05/02/2016 : The present 60-bedded secondary level care hospital of Nalco at Angul shall be renovated and upgraded with required hi-tech machines and recruitment of specialists in various branches. Besides alleviating the patients’ hardship, this would substantially improve medical facilities for both OPD and indoor patients. Similarly, the OPD for villagers and three mobile health units of the company, which hold free camps every day in periphery villages, will be strengthened with induction of paediatric and medicine specialists. This was announced by Shri Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, today at the conclusion of his two-day visit to company’s Smelter & Power Complex at Angul.

During his whirlwind visit, Shri Chand addressed thousands of students of Saraswati Vidya Mandirs of Nalconagar and Angul; shared the Corporate Vision and new all-weather business model with the executives; and interacted with the representatives of various Unions and Associations for the inclusive growth of the company and its stakeholders, through productivity, profitability and credibility.

“Despite sluggish market, our metal production shall go up by 15% during 2015-16 and 20 to 25% in the next fiscal,” Shri Chand asserted after the reviews at all levels. He gave full credits to the employees for maintaining discipline and tempo on the face of current market onslaughts.

Addressing the students, parents and teachers of Saraswati Vidya Mandirs, Shri Chand emphasized on extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, apart from academics, for the wholesome development of a child. “Academic tests have their limitations, as they lead to more or less pre-determined answers. On the other hand, creativity and passion lead to different perceptions, beautiful expressions and outstanding achievements,” said the chief of Navratna Nalco.
