Seminar on Vendor Development Programme at NALCO

Bhubaneswar:  With a view to bring the service providers to MSME fold, NALCO’s S&P Complex, Angul, organized a vender development programme in its Training Centre on 28th October 2014. Around 100 service providers of NALCO participated in the programme.

At the outset, Shri Gopabandhu Pradhan, District Cottage Industries Officer, DIC, Angul, welcomed the guests and briefed about the objectives of the meeting. Gracing the occasion as chief guest, Shri S.K. Roy, Executive Director (S&P), highlighted the significance of MSME Sector in national economy and elaborated on various measures taken for the growth of this sector by NALCO. Guest of honour Shri Nirakar Mishra, GM, DIC, Angul, threw light on various plans and programmes of the government for development of service sector and incentives prescribed in IPR 2007 and MSME Act 2009. Among others, Shri P.C. Nayak, Dy. Zonal Manager, NSIC, Bhubaneswar, Shri P.K. Gupta, Director, MSME-DI, Cuttack, Shri K.K. Shaw, Faculty, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad and Shri Chidananda Mishra, Assistant Director, Industries Directorate, Cuttack, participated in the programme. Shri Ashok Patra, GM (Materials), NALCO, proposed a vote of thanks.
