Gajapati Maharaja Puri Visits NALCO : Praises Navaratna NALCO for its Global Excellence

Bhubaneswar, 06/08/2018: Gajapati Maharaja Shri Shri Dibya Singh Deb made his maiden visit to NALCO Corporate Office at Bhubaneswar on 06 th Aug 2018 and met CMD, Directors and senior officials of NALCO. While addressing the senior officials, he congratulated CMD Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand and NALCO Collective for their excellent achievements in the international market and for making Odisha proud.

While appreciating the initiatives of NALCO, Jagannath Temple Administration and District Authorities of Puri in developing Puri as a Swachh Iconic Place, he stressed on taking up some major initiatives like development of corridor around the Temple, development and beautification of Gundicha Temple, Bada Danda, Jagannath Ballav Math area and Athar Nala with the vision of propelling Puri into the world map of tourism and pilgrimage.

Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, welcomed Gajapati Maharaja with a sapling. It may be mentioned here that NALCO has initiated a novel way of welcoming dignitaries with saplings, instead of flower bouquets.
