Bhubaneswar,21/01/2016 : On the eve of Republic Day, 5 km Mini Marathons are being concurrently organized at 54 cities across the country on 24th January (Sunday), to suffuse patriotism. In Bhubaneswar, as many as 42 organizations and institutions have joined hands to organize this event, with a tagline ‘I for India’. The format eliminates any competition, ensuring free participation.

This all-inclusive event is being organized with the active support from different Public Sector Undertakings, Corporate Houses, Colleges, Universities, Schools, Hospitals, Clubs and Forums, along with thousands of volunteers. The mega event is expected to witness participation of around 10,000 people, including noted sports persons and celebrities. The Mini Marathon in Bhubaneswar will be flagged off by His Excellency Dr. S.C. Jamir, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha from Janata Maidan at 7.30 am this Sunday and will conclude at Kalinga Stadium, via 120 Battalion.
