International Women’s Day Celebrated at Nalco

Bhubaneswar, 09/03/2016: o mark the International Women’s Day, a special programme was organized by National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) on Tuesday at Bhubaneswar on this year’s theme ‘Pledge for Parity’. Dr. Sakuntala Baliarsingh, eminent Odia writer, who has recently won Kendriya Sahitya Academy Award, graced the occasion as the Chief Speaker. Smt. Preeti Roy, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya-2, Cuttack and President, Nalco Mahila Samiti addressed the gathering as Guest of Honour. Smt. Soma Mondal, Director (Commercial) of Nalco threw light on the subject. Among others, Shri N.R. Mohanty, Director (P&T), Shri K.C. Samal, Director (Finance) and Shri P.K. Mohanty, IAS, Chief Vigilance Officer of Nalco were present on the occasion.

At the outset, Smt. R. Vijaya Chakravarty, Asst. General Manager (System) delivered the welcome address. Smt. V. Anuradha of Corporate Communication Department anchored the programme and Smt. Geeta Mohapatra, Sr. Manager (HRD) proposed the vote of thanks. The programme started with a dance-drama titled ‘Main Naari’, conceptualized and choreographed by Smt. Sabita Patnaik, Member of Nalco Mahila Samiti.
