    International Women’s Day Celebrated by Nalco

    Bhubaneswar, 08/03/2017 : To mark the International Women’s Day, a special programme was organized by National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) on 8th March at Bhubaneswar on this year’s theme ‘Be Bold for Change’. Prof. (Dr.) Sasmita R. Samanta, Registrar, KIIT University graced the occasion as the Chief Speaker. Smt. Preeti Roy, Vice-Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya-2, CRPF and President, Nalco Mahila Samiti addressed the gathering as Guest of Honour. Among others, Shri K.C. Samal, Director (Finance), Shri V. Balasubramanyam, Director (Production) and Shri S.K. Roy, Director (P&T) of Nalco were present on the occasion.

    On this occasion, Dr Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, Nalco, who is away at Damanjodi Mines, extended his best wishes and said “Women play a pivotal role in the society & their empowerment is the empowerment of our society at large”. At the outset, Smt. R. Vijaya Chakravarty, Asst. General Manager (Systems) delivered the welcome address. Smt. Neelima Kongari coordinated the programme and Smt. Geeta Mohapatra, Sr. Manager (HRD) proposed the vote of thanks. The children of Adruta Homes, Bhubaneswar presented a cultural programme on the occasion.
