    NALCO to Study World-Class Practices for Angul Aluminium Park

    Bhubaneswar, 12/10/2015:  National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) is planning to send a team to the Middle-East Countries to study world-class practices in the field of upstream and downstream industries. With a view to boost the ancillary industries in the State of Odisha through the proposed Angul Aluminium Park, the company has this plan of action, so that the best practices can be replicated in this new venture.

    “While NALCO is taking a lead in many issues pertaining to the industrial development of the State, the company is ready to take a call for the enhancement of quality up-gradation of the ancillary industries,” said Shri T.K. Chand, CMD of the company.

    Shri Chand was addressing the 1st Executive Committee Meeting of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (UCCI), on Saturday at Bhubaneswar, wherein he was felicitated by the Chamber. In turn, UCCI proposed to send its representative in NALCO’s study team to Middle-East.

    “Micro-medium-small enterprises are now expected to produce the required quantity and high quality products, so as to enable themselves to seize the opportunities under the new Industrial Policy of Govt. of Odisha and as a responsible corporate, NALCO is keen to provide all kinds of support,” Shri Chand added.

    Among others, Shri Ramesh Mahapatra, President, UCCI, Dr. S.K. Tamotia, former CMD, NALCO and Shri Bijoy Ketan Mishra, Chairman, Media & Public Relations Committee, UCCI were present on the occasion.
