    Bhubaneswar, 09/07/2018: Appreciating the work of the Rotary Clubs of Puri, Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, called upon the Rotarians to work with “Mission & Passion” to bring about a positive and visible change in the community. He said, “There is abundant scope for the improvement of Puri Sea Beach, particularly in its cleanliness and beautification, so that the beach can be counted amongst the best beaches in the world .The four Rotary Clubs of Puri can come together to work towards this goal, so that the visibility of Rotary is evident in this iconic shrine city.’’

    Addressing the Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Srikshetra, Puri, Dr. Chand, said, “Rotary Clubs need to join hands with the Government and corporate sector to take up sustainable projects for the improvement of this historic city of tourism and pilgrimage”. He further added that ,” Rotarians must imbibe in letter and spirit the motto of Rotary – Service Above Self”.

    Congratulating the new President of the Club, Ajit Kumar Mohapatra, Dr. Chand said that “Mission and Passion brings Success”. Dr. Chand also appreciated the good work being done by the Rotarians of Puri in the areas of literacy, health and sanitation. Smt. Preeti Roy Chand, the Guest of Honour, inducted the new members of the club and inaugurated the Souvenir. The outgoing President Judhisthir Lenka highlighted about the service projects carried out by the Rotary Club during last year.
