Start-Up India to make Indian business more competitive: NALCO CMD

Bhubaneswar, 07/02/2016: “Indian industries have the potential to become globally competitive, but for this it is essential to have cost reduction and optimal productivity. Now, with focus on more entrepreneurs through Start-Ups, there is a conducive environment for Indian business to become competitive in the global market”, said Shri Tapan Kuman Chand, CMD, NALCO, while addressing the students of Bhavan’s Centre for Communication and Management, on the occasion of its annual day celebration at Bhubaneswar, on Saturday.

Shri Chand also appreciated the B-School’s initiative for setting up a research and incubation centre to promote the new entrepreneurs. He underscored the importance of developing a comprehensive value system that will enable the students to gain right kind of attitude, skills and knowledge to meet the industry requirements. To encourage such all-round achievers, he also announced to institute cash awards for top three students of the institute.

Among others, Major General B.K. Mahapatra, Chairman of Bhavan’s Centre for Communication and Management, Dr. Sujata Mangaraj, Director-cum- Dean and Lt. Col P.K. Sahu, Senior Director (Admn & Finance) of the institute were notably present on the occasion.
