Bhubaneswar, 30.04.2019: The 10th half-yearly meeting of Bhubaneswar Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Undertakings) was organized today at NALCO’s Corporate Office. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO. Sri N.K. Dubey, Head of the Office, Eastern Region, Kolkata, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home, Govt. of India graced the occasion as Govt. representative.
Sir Basant Kumar Thakur, Director (HR), NALCO, Sri Sadashiv Samantaray, ED(Mktg.)-I/c, NALCO, Sri Subhajit Ghosh, CGM, Indian Oil Corporation, Sri P.P.Mishra, DGM, The New India Assurance Co., Sri Jagadanand Kar, AGM, SAIL, Sri L.Jamir, Additional Commissioner, ESIC, Sri S.K.Sethi, Manager, Central Warehousing Corporation, and other Heads of different undertakings were present in the meeting.
Officials from BPCL, HPCL, Oriental Insurance Co., MMTC, ECGC, HUDCO, BSNL, LIC, and other CPSUs of Bhubaneswar were present in the meeting and proposed many valuable propositions to enhance the use of Hindi.
The 6th issue of Hindi E-magazine ‘Ananta’ was released by Dr. T.K.Chand, in which interesting writings in Hindi by the employees and reports of Rajbhasha conferences, workshops, Hindi Kavi Sammelan, Hindi fortnight celebration and special programs have been published. Arrangements of joint programs, constitution of sub-committees and organising training programs on E-Office, Translation and Computing in Hindi for propagating use of Hindi in Official work were also discussed.
In his presidential address, Dr. T.K. Chand, CMD, NALCO, expressed his pleasure on special programs being organised by the members and said that all technical facilities are available to enhance the use of Hindi. It is necessary to provide training and incentives as a motivation. Sri Dubey, Office-Head, DOL, GOI, stressed upon submitting quarterly reports online and provided guidance for solving different problems in Hindi implementation.
The meeting was coordinated by Shri Hariram Pansari, Member-secretary of the Committee and Sr.Manager (Rajbhasha) of NALCO.
